MARK KRISZTOFER

The Male Model with 9 Tattoos

By Christopher Uvenio

Tell me about yourself and where are you from and how it brought you to New York, the Fashion Capital of the World?

I was born in Manhattan and lived there till I was 11. My mom then decided to move to Hungary to care for her elder mom. At the age of 16 I got recruited to play at a prestigious high school in Canada and following that I ended up back in NYC for my last year of high school. From there I moved back to Hungary to play basketball but after 2 years I came back to NY and been here since.

Do you have a Nickname? Some of my friends call me Markeyz
.
When was it that you got started becoming a Male Model and how did it come about?

My mom was in the fashion industry for a while as a model, actress and dancer and she influenced me. When I was 13 she brought me to a movie casting and I ended up with a small role. I was always into fashion and wanted to be a model but basketball was more of a priority until a couple years ago when I started dedicating more time to it, working out and I quickly starting getting better and better gigs.

When did you decided you wanna be a Personal Trainer?
Less than 2 years ago I joined a new gym where I met my 2 gym buddies one of which was just starting as a trainer and after doing my first fitness show many started asking me to train them so I thought it could be a perfect fit since I also have a background in nutrition. I enjoy working out and helping others.

How many Tattoos do you have and where are they located?
I have 9 tattoos. They are located on my upper arms, elbows, wrists and chest.

Are you expecting more in the near future?
Yes I plan on adding some more ink to my upper arms in the near future.

Are any of your Tattoos meaningful?
All of them, except for the stars on my elbows. They all are tied into religion, New York, basketball and horoscope which all represent me.

When did you get your first Tattoos?
I got my first tattoo right after I turned 18.

When you get offered a shoot from a photo shoot, what kind of preparation do you need to do for modeling?
Not too much besides look up the photographer or designer and see what they are about. As far as gym or eating routine I don’t do anything differently.

What was it like doing your first photo shoot - scary, interesting, exciting, sexy? -

I was very excited but I went in there with lots of confidence and within minutes I became comfortable. Looking back at the shots now make me laugh, but at that time I thought they were really cool.

What companies have you modeled for?
KnowApparel, John Falloco Underwear, JB Shephard, Black Jack Clothing, SpacyCloud, Saxoo London and Dinamit Jeans. I will also be walking for Andre Galliano and Mango during New York Fashion Week this month.

Who are your favorite Designers? Calvin Klein, Diesel, Armani, Zara and Tom Ford.

What would you not wear in Public? Women’s clothes
How do you keep up to date with Fashion? Magazines, internet, social media and just walking around Manhattan you’ll see all the latest trends.

Are you a Brief or a Boxer guy? Boxers

Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? Yes I try to for the most part. Not always easy on the go though. I workout 6 times a week!!

How do you stay in such great shape?Share your fitness routine?
Its all about consistency!! I wake up everyday unsatisfied and wanting to get better. I tend to switch up my routines monthly to shock my muscles but currently I workout Chest and arms twice a week and every other body part once. My training routine is intense with lots of supersets and heavy weights.

You love to travel? And where do you like to go? Yes I do!! I haven’t really explored Asia or South America yet but I do love Europe. I always love spending time in Hungary of course lots of friends and family there but I absolutely love Italy! The people, the food, the weather.. everything!

Do you have any limitations? Would you model any kind of clothing at all?
I don’t have any limitations. I see myself as very versatile and can pull off different looks. Anything you throw at me I’ll make the best of it!

What do you do in leisure/spare time?
I love to watch and play sports. Especially basketball and soccer. I also love being outdoors in the sun or the beach or just simply hanging out with my friends. I do enjoy going out as well even though I don’t drink!

What advice would you give a newbie who's just starting in the industry - any suggestions on what to do or what to avoid?
Stay consistent at the gym, eat healthy, be confident in yourself, even of your "flaws" because to others it might be beautiful and learn how to take criticism because everyone will view you differently and wants to push their idea of perfection at you.

THANK YOU MARK!

Today’s Male SuperModel

By Christopher Uvenio

What do you remember about your school days, did you have many friends and what was your favorite subject?
I was homeschooled for most of my school days up until high school and in high school I wasn’t the most popular student but I didn’t care. My favorite subject was physical education.

What is the best thing about modeling and what is the most stressful thing about being a model?
The best thing about being a model is experiencing things I would never experience otherwise and the most stressful is competing with every other model for jobs.

How and when did you start your modeling career?
I started it when I was 21 and it was when I saw a link on Facebook about a talent agency looking for male models.

What was your first impression of the modeling world and was there anything that surprised you or that you didn’t expect?
My first impression was it is very cutthroat.

What is your Opinion on Homosexuality?
I don’t really have a problem with it. I don’t care what people do on their own time. It only becomes a problem if someone acts inappropriately.

Do you remember your first assignment as a model?
No I don’t. I just remember my first test shoot.

What has been the funniest job that you have done as a model so far?
I just shot for a cookbook and that was pretty funny.

How would you put these factors in order of importance for becoming a successful model: the right look, hard work, luck?
I would usually say hard work, but its all about having the right look.

What does Success mean to you? Wealth, fame, happiness or none of these?
I would say happiness.

The three most important 'things' in your life are...?
My family, my friends, and my faith.

What kind of music do you like best? What's your current favorite song?
I really like alternative music and my favorite song right now is— Woke the Fuck Up by Jon Bellion.

What do you like to do in your free time, do you have any particular hobby that some might find odd?
I like to work out or hang out with friends ...

Thanks you ANTHONY!! for sharing your story with me!

World Premiere Interview: Anthony Parker

Anthony Parker
The Making of a Male Super Model!
by Christopher Uvenio

At 22, the very handsome at 6'1 and 170 pounds of pure muscles and an amazing smile from Indiana. Anthony Parker drove and
came from a 13 hour drive to be in my coffee table book. He has been seen everywhere and with his good looks, I see a big bright future ahead of him! Now I am about to introduce you to the very masculine Anthony Parker!

I became a male model about a year and a half ago.  Ever since I was four my life was all about about baseball, I wanted to go pro like so many other young boys.  I went to college to play baseball and played only one year out of the three that I attended.  My career was plagued with injuries, and in the fall of 2012 I suffered a broken finger and my baseball career was over.  I was heartbroken, seeing as baseball was everything I had known.

A few of my friends suggested I try modeling and I decided to give it a shot.  I got a test shoot set up and fell in love with the feeling that I get in front of the camera.  Becoming a male model helped ease the pain of not playing baseball because it is the only other thing that brings me as much happiness.

I want to be a model because it's not easy to be one and make it in the industry.  Where I grew up, not many people had big dreams.  Even I didn't think I was going to do anything big in my life.  I went to college for a physical education degree, which would have been fulfilling, but as soon as I realized that my true passion was modeling, I decided to put my schooling on hold.  I know that I'm meant to do big things now and I'm never turning back.
When I get an offer for a shoot, a lot of preparation is involved.  Location needs to be decided upon unless it's already determined.  I need to decide what the theme is bad what I am going to wear and whether or not I need to get items of clothing.  That's all before the day of the shoot.  On the day of the shoot, if I'm going to be shirtless or in underwear I usually go to the gym to tone up my body or at least bring weights and resistance bands to do so.
My first shoot was a test shoot and to be honest I wasn't scared at all I was very excited and intrigued.  Once I got in front of the camera I knew I was where I belonged.
Probably the weirdest and funniest thing that has ever happened at a shoot was when I was working with a straight photographer and he was snapping away and all of the sudden he just blurts out "If you keep working it this well, you're gonna turn me gay".  Totally unexpected and totally hilarious.
The only actual company I have done a shoot for so far is Pierre Philip Shoes, who at the time was based out of Indy and has since then moved to Vegas.  I have walked in small fashion shows for both Anton Alexander and for Boudoir Noir.
My favorite designers are Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Armani, and of course Christopher Uvenio.
(thank you Anthony, you're the best!)

A few things I won't wear in public are jean shorts, and my glasses I have currently.  Once I get a more fashionable pair I will.  I believe that as a model, you need to look as good as possible in public because you're always representing your brand.
I mostly try to stay up to date with fashion by following GQ on Facebook and reading every one of their articles.  I also have fashion forward friends who help as well.
I am a boxer-brief guy to be honest.  I think they feel the best.
I try to eat as nutritiously as possible.  It's impossible to not eat any unhealthy foods, they are all around us but I stay away from them as much as possible.  I try to go to the gym three to four times a week, but with a busy schedule, it's sometimes hard to do so.
I stay in the shape I am by eating right as often as I can and by doing a lot of cardio.  My gym routine consists of a lot auxiliary lifts to tone my body, and of course abs routines.
I do have limitations but I really haven't been pushed to where I needed to bring them into play.  Everything I have done has been fine with me.
I don't think I would model ANY clothing, but anything within reason that I don't feel foolish in.
In the little spare time I have I enjoy hanging out with friends and having a good time.  I try to play some sort of sports as well whenever I can.
In 5 years from now I see myself being very successful in the modeling industry and hopefully have some sort of entrepreneurial venture as well.
Anthony Parker is a part  of the Uvenio Coffeetable book has been incredible and brought such energy and masculine looks to the project. And there will be a lot of Anthony Parker stories on my blog! Look for Anthony Parker continue his interview of Part 2 very shortly!  ....
