Knots Landing Returning 2018?!

 

Rumors of a Knots Landing reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Monday (October 23) as reports claimed that CBS confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2018.

 

Can you believe it's been 37 years since Knots Landing first aired?! (37 years, 9 months, 27 days to be exact.)

Why in the world did Knots Landing end?

When Knots Landing came to an end after 14 years in May 1993, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to their favorite sitcom characters. And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.

Would a Knots Landing reunion disappoint people?

 

Knots Landing aired from 1979-1993 and is considered one of the most influential TV show ever on pop culture!   

Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station's schedules.

Still hoping for a Knots Landing movie?

In a recent interview, Michele Lee (who played Karen MacKenzie) said she can't imagine a Knots Landing reunion hitting the big screen. “I'd rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.’”

 

Co-star Nicollette Sheridan (who played Paige Matheson since 1986) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Knots Landing movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Knots Landing film, William Devane stated : “I think it's a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”

What about a Knots Landing reboot?
