Exclusive: In the Kitchen with Model/Chef Isaac Carew

The only thing we love more than a hot guy who can cook is a hot guy with an accent who can cook—and Isaac Carew fits the bill. The UK-based Ford model got his big break in a campaign for Hermès before turning his focus to culinary arts and his new site The Dirty Dishes.

The Brit talks date nights, women and how to cook the perfect turkey roast.
How did you get into cooking?
IC: I can remember cooking up these concoctions (some edible but mostly not) for my mum from an early age. As I grew up, I was always in kitchens visiting my father as he's also a chef so I used to get to watch him on service while eating cake. My earliest memory of actually working in my dad's kitchen was when I was on spinach duty picking about three huge boxes stem by stem.

What are your favorite restaurants in London and New York?
IC: In London, Bone Daddies, BAO and Patty & Bun  are my top three for quick bites—I'm in all three at least once a week. For something a little classier in the evening, my favorite restaurant would have to be  Pollen Street Social. In New York, Baohaus has the best buns in town hands down—I could out-eat anyone there if someone's up for the challenge.
 Last meal on earth?
IC: It would have to be Jamaican curry goat, jerk chicken, rice and peas, beef patty and a Guinness punch to wash it all down. I find the heat from the flavors so comforting.
What's your biggest food indulgence?
IC: Caviar.

Is it a dealbreaker if a woman can't cook?
IC: I've never actually been out with a woman that couldn't cook, so subconsciously maybe it is a dealbreaker! Though I'm sure I'd have no problem showing a woman around a kitchen if she couldn't cook.
What's your ideal first date?
IC: Visiting the Natural History Museum London. If you can have fun and run around like a kid with someone you just met, then you're on to a winner!
