World Premiere Interview: Anthony Parker Part 2

Anthony Parker by Christopher Uvenio

Anthony Parker is back for his exclusive part 2 interview! And The Second male model to be interviewed  for the Making of the Uvenio Coffee table book. And he will discussed his thoughts and what been happening behind the scenes of the coffee table book project!

What is it like that you are one of the 4   Male Models of the Coffee table Book?
-It was an incredible honor to be part of and to work with such talented individuals.
There was over 200 models that wanted to be in the book, Why do you think you have been chosen as one of the as one of the Male Models for the Book?
-I believe I was chosen for the book because I have both "boy next door" "all-american boy" looks but also bring hints of Italian male model as well.
You drove over 10 hours from Indiana to be at the shoot that how was the experience like? Crazy wild or like Thelma & Louise? LOL
-Well on the way I split the trip in two and driving through Pennsylvania in the early morning after staying in a hotel was pretty incredible.  The drive was overall was uneventful however.  I would say the scenery was the best part.
The Photo shoot was done on location at Locanda Cavallo, what did you think of the location and the settings? You were there for 4 days. Sound like a mix of Vacation and work.
-Oh my goodness, the location was absolutely mind blowing.  The old European influence was gorgeous and was really a dream location for a photoshoot.  The family also made me feel like a king whenever I was there.  It was technically work but when you enjoy your job like I do then it didn't seem like work at all.
Did you have the time of your life working with various models and lots of glitz and glamour in the collection!
-I really did have alot of fun with the crew and the designs.  Definitely will be something I won't forget anytime soon!

Previous Interview, you mentioned Uvenio as one of your favorite designers, why?
-Christopher thinks outside the box with his designs but not to the point where his clothing is too weird to wear like some designers I know.
What were some of your best moments doing the Uvenio Coffee table book?
-Definitely at the end of the days after everyone had worked so hard and we let loose a bit.

You have been photographed in such classic cars, the barn, the country club, the estates, the hotel, the pool room, the country club and even a gorgeous marbled bathroom!    What was your favorite
scenery of the shoot?
-My favorite was shooting with the Bentley for sure.  Such a classic, beautiful car that told it's own story.
You worked with 2 beautiful supermodels, Lauren and Kimberly and they both have different style of modeling and looks. Can you explain the different of their modeling and working with them? Like Lauren has more of the Cutting Edge Attitude and Kimberly is more of the Avant Garde style…
-Both of them were extremely talented in their own way.  Lauren had the classic French look and attitude.  The best way to describe Kimberly is fierce.
Are you in several nude shots in the Coffee table book?
-Yes I am in quite a few.

How do you feel doing partial nude and why?
-I believe that the human body is the highest art form and especially for a high fashion coffee table book, I didn't have any problem with it.
You're a beautiful young man at the age of 22, what is your best features to show in the book?
-I have been told that I have "bedroom eyes" so I think I will bring a seductive look to the book.

And what is the Uvenio Coffee table book about?  An idea
-Its a story about open love and betrayal and deceit
What would make the audiences buy the book you are the star of?
I think we pushed the envelope enough to not just be another coffee table book but not too much where its no longer classy

Since the Book doesn't have a name, what would be the best title of the book?
Love is Love
Do you have anything to say before we wrap up about the Coffee Table book project?
-I can't wait to see the finished product!

Thank you Anthony! You're the best and you know I'll be back for more interview with you soon!

World Premiere Interview: Anthony Parker

Anthony Parker
The Making of a Male Super Model!
by Christopher Uvenio

At 22, the very handsome at 6'1 and 170 pounds of pure muscles and an amazing smile from Indiana. Anthony Parker drove and

came from a 13 hour drive to be in my coffee table book. He has been seen everywhere and with his good looks, I see a big bright future ahead of him! Now I am about to introduce you to the very masculine Anthony Parker!

I became a male model about a year and a half ago.  Ever since I was four my life was all about about baseball, I wanted to go pro like so many other young boys.  I went to college to play baseball and played only one year out of the three that I attended.  My career was plagued with injuries, and in the fall of 2012 I suffered a broken finger and my baseball career was over.  I was heartbroken, seeing as baseball was everything I had known.
A few of my friends suggested I try modeling and I decided to give it a shot.  I got a test shoot set up and fell in love with the feeling that I get in front of the camera.  Becoming a male model helped ease the pain of not playing baseball because it is the only other thing that brings me as much happiness.
I want to be a model because it's not easy to be one and make it in the industry.  Where I grew up, not many people had big dreams.  Even I didn't think I was going to do anything big in my life.  I went to college for a physical education degree, which would have been fulfilling, but as soon as I realized that my true passion was modeling, I decided to put my schooling on hold.  I know that I'm meant to do big things now and I'm never turning back.
When I get an offer for a shoot, a lot of preparation is involved.  Location needs to be decided upon unless it's already determined.  I need to decide what the theme is bad what I am going to wear and whether or not I need to get items of clothing.  That's all before the day of the shoot.  On the day of the shoot, if I'm going to be shirtless or in underwear I usually go to the gym to tone up my body or atleast bring weights and resistance bands to do so.
My first shoot was a test shoot and to be honest I wasn't scared at all I was very excited and intrigued.  Once I got in front of the camera I knew I was where I belonged.
Probably the weirdest and funniest thing that has ever happened at a shoot was when I was working with a straight photographer and he was snapping away and all of the sudden he just blurts out "If you keep working it this well, you're gonna turn me gay".  Totally unexpected and totally hilarious.
The only actual company I have done a shoot for so far is Pierre Philip Shoes, who at the time was based out of Indy and has since then moved to Vegas.  I have walked in small fashion shows for both Anton Alexander and for Boudoir Noir.

My favorite designers are Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Armani, and of course Christopher Uvenio.
(thank you Anthony, you're the best!)
A few things I won't wear in public are jean shorts, and my glasses I have currently.  Once I get a more fashionable pair I will.  I believe that as a model, you need to look as good as possible in public because you're always representing your brand.
I mostly try to stay up to date with fashion by following GQ on Facebook and reading every one of their articles.  I also have fashion forward friends who help as well.

I am a boxer-brief guy to be honest.  I think they feel the best.
I try to eat as nutritiously as possible.  It's impossible to not eat any unhealthy foods, they are all around us but I stay away from them as much as possible.  I try to go to the gym three to four times a week, but with a busy schedule, it's sometimes hard to do so.

I stay in the shape I am by eating right as often as I can and by doing a lot of cardio.  My gym routine consists of a lot auxiliary lifts to tone my body, and of course ab routines.
I do have limitations but I really havnt been pushed to where I needed to bring them into play.  Everything I have done has been fine with me.

I don't think I would model ANY clothing, but anything within reason that I don't feel foolish in.
In the little spare time I have I enjoy hanging out with friends and having a good time.  I try to play some sort of sports as well whenever I can.

In 5 years from now I see myself being very successful in the modeling industry and hopefully have some sort of entrepreneurial venture as well.

Anthony Parker is a part  of the Uvenio Coffeetable book has been incredible and brought such energy and masculine looks to the project. And there will be a lot of Anthony Parker stories on my blog! Look for Anthony Parker continue his interview of Part 2 very shortly!  ....

Ricky Martin, Johnny Mathis, Luciano Pavarotti, Iggy Pop, Steven Seagal, Eli Wallach, Lil Wayne and Dionne Warwick. Sports figures include Billy Bean, Chris Evert, Mitch Gaylord, Greg Louganis, Dan Marino, Don Mattingly, Johnny Mitchell and Mary Pierce.

An alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology, David continues his international work and maintains his studio base in his hometown of Miami.
Who was the last famous person you worked with?
I believe it was Dionne Warwick. We shot the photos for the CD package celebrating her 50 years as a recording artist.
And you done a lot with Dionne Warwick, how long have you known her for?
Since 1982.

Did she come to you to do work for her?
Yes. She called me after seeing my photo of Johnny Mathis that was on a billboard overlooking Sunset Blvd.  in Hollywood, CA.
What female celebrity would you like to work with and why?
Jennifer Lawrence (actress: THE HUNGER GAMES) because she seems to be authentic. In her interviews she’s real and unfiltered, plus she is beautiful.
What are the similarities and differences between working with two beautiful male supermodels, Bill McLarnon and Ivan Scannell?
When I photographed Ivan, he was already a seasoned fitness model… when Bill came to me, he had only been shot by one other photographer, Jorge Freire.

What was it like working with the extremely beautiful Bill McLarnon and Ivan Scannell?
It was different. Ivan had experience so it was possible to get further faster. With Bill, I wanted to give him a wide variety of images because he was just starting out.
http://davidvancephotographer.blogspot.com/2013/10/bill-mclarnonon-rise.html
What is Benjamin Godfrey like? He seems to be a very over the top character seen everywhere!
He really is a character. Very lovable and creative… open and easy…. Chill. He’s a ‘no worries’ kind of guy.
I love your work you done with him inspired by the Circus Theme, what did Benjamin thought of the theme?
He got right into it. We had such a good shoot. Normally my shoots aren’t that structured but for some reason I was inspired to do something extra with Benjamin. I had been aware of him for years before I actually got to work with him.

He doesn’t seem to mind being nude a lot more than clothes.
No. He doesn’t mind being nude. I think he’s been shooting nudes since he was quite young, maybe 17 or 18.

What was it like shooting the beautiful Alex Hanson?
She is remarkable. Every bit as beautiful as she looks. I remember the last time I photographed her; I picked her up at her hotel and she wasn’t wearing any make up. She was incredibly beautiful au natural. She’s just a natural beauty. Amazing face and body… very low maintenance and sweet as she is pretty.

What is Craig Moody like?
Like a live wire. He’s 110% energy. When I met him I told him he need to do more than model, that he was in my opinion, actor material… the very next week he landed the lead in a local production of MAKING PORN.
I was amazed at how good he was…a natural actor… took to the stage like a fish to water. He since appeared as the guard in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUKOO’S NEST, and is currently working on his third play. He’s now working on his third play. He seems to be hooked.

Where did you discover the very masculine Levi Jackson?
On the model site, MODEL MAYHEM. He came to me and I was struck by his beauty. I thought he would be difficult, but he turned out to be one of the nicest, most humble people I know.

Who are your personal favorite models to work with and would do it all over again?
Most of the models I have shot I would shoot again. I love them all for different reasons. I hesitate to choose favorites. I must say though that I have a special place in my heart for Stephane Heffner. He is a wonderful person and a talented aerial artist…. A totally creative person who also designs costumes and sets for his show FARFADAIS.

Who are the models very difficult to work with and why? Egos or being late?
I won’t mention any names, but there have been more than a few. With some it’s ego, others want too much control. I’ve also been stood up for shoots and sometimes models get cold feet about posing nude.
Do you do model casting before you do the photo shoot and what do you look for when you do model casting? Personality? Beauty?
Yes, I prefer to meet models before actually booking a shoot. I look for attitude that is enthusiastic. Also I am more inclined to photograph someone who has good proportions. Beauty for me is very eclectic. Usually is someone is pursuing modeling that have to have some degree of beauty.
Out of all your different amazing beautiful work you have done, who was your favorite?
Impossible to answer. I have been taking photographs since I was a teenager. I really can’t think of a single favorite.

What are your Pet Peeves?
I have no tolerance for duplicitous people. If someone lies to me, that’s the end of that association. I’m also not fond of people who are too full of themselves.
What do you like to do on your day off?
I always have to be creating. I don’t really take much time off… I’m too hyper to really relax.

What superstitions do you believe in?
None.

Do you prefer planes, train or automobiles?
Depends on where I’m going. I’m not a big fan of flying, but sometimes it’s necessary to fly.

What is the most foolish thing you’ve ever done?
I can’t remember, and if I could I probably wouldn’t tell you.

Who is your favorite singer?
It changes all the time. Right now I am quite fond of Lara Fabian.

And what is your next project after the interview?
I am working on a new book with BRUNO GMUNDER. The tentative title is MASCULINE BEAUTY.

Thank you so much David and I love admiring your work! Keep in touch!

You’re welcome. Thanks for your support.
