He knows you think he's hot and that you fangirl out, but he can't believe it happens!!
Chances are you've seen David Gandy in Dolce & Gabbana's iconic Light Blue ad (where his eyes rival the water surrounding the island of Capri). But Cosmopolitan.com got a chance to actually sit down the demigod to find out several things you might not actually know about one of the world's hottest male models.
1. He thinks being in his underwear for work isn't normal. "It's definitely something that you have to get used to. This is the weirdest thing in the world."

2. He's never been confident in front of the camera (even though you'd never suspect it). "I've never been that confident in front of the camera. I'm still not. I'm not naturally into being the center of attention, which is exactly what my job entails. But I'd much prefer someone else having the limelight instead of me. I just knew that if I wanted to be successful in this industry, it'd be something I just have to get over."
3. He never stops preparing for underwear shoots. "In this business, you never quite know what you'll be doing, so you always have to be ready. But I'm used to it. I always played sports since I was young, so I've always been in the gym, and I'm nutritionally aware so I know what to eat."

4. He doesn't eat anything processed or foods that come prepackaged. "Having the willpower to say no to certain things is the hardest thing, but I tell everyone to stay away from processed foods and anything that comes in a packet — they're just crap."
5. He has a sweet tooth. "Even though I eat healthy, I do have a bit of a sweet tooth. I don't know who my mom cooks for when I go home, but it's like there's an army of people coming to her house. It's just me and then five cakes and scones, and I'm like, 'Mom, it's just me!' When I'm drained and need something, I just like a couple bits of orange dark chocolate and a little coffee."

6. He has a beauty regimen and knows what serum is. "After 14 years in the fashion industry, I better know what serum is [Laughs.], but I mainly use rose oil, a good-quality moisturizer, and that's about it at the end of the day."

7. He knows girls can't survive his smolder and that they freak out behind his back. "I can't believe it happens — I think it's because girls don't really act that way to my face. If I'm ever with someone they'll say, 'Do you even realize that girls are so cool around you and then you keep walking, and they freak out and are like, 'Oh my god,' and then you turn around and they're all cool again?' I just never realized it before, but it's funny."
8. He's into fresh citrusy scents on women. "I'm quite into fresh, citrusy fragrances — I like when your partner leaves and you can still smell them on your pillow. But I don't like anything too, too deep. So nothing too masculine on a woman. I like the distinction between the man and woman."

9. He gravitates toward D&G Light Blue though because it's not just a fragrance to him. "It means more to me than probably anyone else. It's a part of me, I always say. I wouldn't be here without Light Blue and that was my first big campaign with Mario Testino with Dolce & Gabbana — the first time I smelt the fragrance was on the way to the set on a speedboat. You know, just absolutely shitting myself thinking, 'This is great, this is my first campaign!'"
10. Just because he's a top male model doesn't mean modeling is always easy for him. "I remember shooting campaign for Light Blue. The weather was awful even and the waves were all over the place. I had to get on this boat with Bianca [Balti] for the commercial and had to physically get out of the water and pull myself up onto a dingy. You know if you've ever tried to lift yourself out of normal flat water, it's hard enough. But try it while there's waves — I literally I was flopping like a seal and Mario [Testino] was like, 'That's not sexy!,' and I was like, 'Do you want to come and do this? It's impossible!' [Laughs.] Everyone in the boat was laughing and I had to do it take after take; my arms were shaking after a while."

11. He's not a spritz-and-walk-through kind of guy when it comes to cologne. "It's too much of a waste. I used to spray it on my neck but a skin expert told me the alcohol in it is dehydrating and can age your neck, so now I put it on my pulse points and around my ears. I don't ever want to get too over the top with cologne. I hate when people walk past and you get this extreme whiff of fragrance — I don't really like that."
