Fedrico Guasch joins Uvenio Coffeetable book!

 

The International Male Model from Argentina who is also Italian, the 6'1, 180 ponds of solid muscles, with the face of a old glamour Hollywood film star. His work also including as an actor in several telenovelas, and models mostly overseas in runway shows and over sixty editorials.

 

 For several months, the 27 year old Male model have tried to reach me for almost a year until last month, he finally met with me. Recently I worked with him as one of the premiere models on the runway for the Fashion Art & Design Club's biggest fashion show a few weeks ago at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. He wore the young designers, who were my students, Raul Flores and Charles Riviera.

 

From New York triumphing as International Male known as Mr. World International 2014 and won the competition in Argentina, for Mr.  Grand International 2016. 

 

After a month, I have gotten to know my new best friend Fedrico and for his love for suits, dressy shoes, opra and classical music. For weeks, I have hang out with him and brainstorming ideas of how he would fit into my storylines for my most-talked about project, the Coffee table book...

The photographer I brought with me is the amazing Gustavo Mirable who is also from Argentina now lives in Brooklyn. I figure having two good friends commuincate in latin and to enjoy work as I was preppy the style and the looks on Fedrico. 

 

Here is behind the scenes of the project that is confidental exciting, controversial, sexy and very classic..You'll see why I adore Gustavo's work and Fedrico's looks for my collection. 

  The shoot was taken at his apartment and outdoors on a sunny afternoon in Chelsea.  Storylines will continue when my dear friend Fedrico return soon from his country in Argentina to visit his family...His Looks and my designs are a match made in heaven for my coffeetable book...And after being with him for several weeks, I miss him...

 

  

Introducing Jesse Gwin: Male SuperModel

 

When it comes to models, the fashion industry loves a family with amazing genes and Jesse Gwin is a shining example. The son of 90s model Thom Gwin, Jesse is front and center for a new shoot from photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca. Embracing a sporty edge, Jesse poses in contemporary fashions from Polo Ralph Lauren. We also connected with the Soul Artist Management model for a Q&A, where he dishes on his first fashion week and following in his father’s footsteps by working with Polo Ralph Lauren.

 

How was your first fashion week?
My first fashion week was great. Had an amazing experience. Looking forward to the next one.
How long did you model as a child?
I modeled from when I was 10 months old shooting my first campaign for Baby GAP with Patrick Demarchelier and continued modeling until I was about 11 years old.

 

What made you decide to come back to modeling?
I always wanted to get back into the business, and it opens so many doors for other opportunities such as acting and music.
Did your father have any words of wisdom to share?
Don’t take it for granted, save your money and invest wisely. Don’t let it go to your head, be yourself, and if you don’t get a job, it’s not the end of the world. The business is full of rejection and you have to be able to handle it. And to always be grateful.

 

What has been your experience so far?
My experience so far has been wonderful. Really excited to see what is ahead of me.
How often do you work out?
I work out 6-7 days a week, sometimes even twice a day! 
What are your interests outside modeling?
My interests outside of modeling are music, acting, coaching football, snowboarding, and cooking.

 

What was it like following in your father’s footsteps and working with Polo Ralph Lauren?
It’s a huge honor to be able to follow in my father’s footsteps and to be able to work with such a great company as Polo Ralph Lauren.
What would be the dream job?
My dream job in the modeling industry would be to get a fragrance campaign, and to hopefully one day be as successful as my father.  

                                

Like Father, Like Son: Thom & Jesse Gwin by Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca

Thom Gwin was a popular face of the nineties, modeling for the likes of Gianni Versace, Brooks Brothers, Tommy Hilfiger, and POLO Ralph Lauren. In addition to starring in a photo shoot together, the father and son model duo interview each other.

 

Jesse: After almost 11 years out of the business, how was it shooting again?
Thom: Arnie made it so easy–I was a bit nervous, then Arnie said, “Relax, it’s like riding a bike.” When we decided to do a shoot together, Arnie was the first photographer that came to mind.

 

Jesse: What made you decide to get back into the business?
Thom: The possibility of working with you is the main reason. I just think that it would be awesome. Recently seeing several ads of actual father and son’s in magazines made me think that if I got back into shape, you and I could work together.
Jesse: How out of shape were you?
Thom: Well, Sitting at a desk all day and loving to eat is not a good combination. I was tipping the scale at 218 with a 36+ waist.
Jesse: What did you do to get back in shape?
Thom: I started hitting the treadmill and just cut back on the amount and type of food I consume. Now I run for 1 hour every day and work out 4-5 days a week. I’m down to 180 with a 32 waist and feel great. The only problem is none of my suits fit me anymore.

 

Jesse: What advice do you have for me modeling?
Thom: Make the most out of every opportunity, to not take it for granted. It’s the old “If I knew it then, what I know now” story.
Thom: So, how was it shooting with me?
Jesse: We did work together when I was a 3-year-old little dude. However, shooting with you now as an adult was awesome and I look forward to doing more work.

 

Thom: How often do you hear about me?
Jesse: All of the time. People always tell me how they used to work with you. Just recently, I went on a show casting to see John Varvatos. John was telling me about working with you back in the 90’s at Calvin. When I was in Milano for Versace, Angelo Azzena was telling me stories from like 1988 about you and Gianni Versace.

 

 Thom: You have been modeling for a little over a year now. Is it what you expected?
Jesse: It’s great. It’s everything I expected and more. I love traveling, spent 2 ½ months in Australia, love it there–the flight is rough but worth it. Working with people from all over the world and getting to go to amazing locations, experience the culture, and eat the food…I couldn’t be happier.

 

 Jesse: My newest hobby is photography. I enjoy taking pictures. I have also been taking acting classes. My original passion is music, I can’t go a day without playing guitar.
Thom: I am totally addicted to Fly-Fishing–wake up at 5am and fish until dark without stopping addicted. When the kids were younger they would come with me all the time. They had no choice. Now they are older, have other interests, and can drive so they often leave me stream-side. But every April 1st which is trout season opening day in New York, they know it’s going to be an all day fly-fishing marathon.

Forget His Famous Dad: Jesse Gwin Wants to Make His Own Impression

Though modeling has always been dependent on good genes, lately the industry has been flooded with a wave of second-generation talent. It girls like Gigi Haddad, Georgia May Jagger and Kaia Gerber are all descendants of elite models, but the latest name to stick out of a crowd is that of Jesse Gwin, a 21-year-old newcomer from New York with pouty lips and a look that calls to mind Leonardo DiCaprio in his prime. 

 

While it takes only a glance to see that Gwin has promise as a male model, a look at the family tree doesn't hurt, either: Gwin’s father is Thom Gwin, a ’90s modeling star who served as the longstanding face of Ralph Lauren. Though the younger Gwin’s look skews more boyish, the resemblance is striking. “I actually went to a casting and when I walked in there, they said, ‘Oh, my God, it’s 1995 again . . .’ ” said Gwin. “ ‘You guys look like twins.’ 

 

 Raised in Yonkers, New York, Gwin started his modeling career early, posing for kids’ ads until work began to conflict with studying. Though he scaled back to focus his full attention on school, Gwin held out hope that he’d be able to rejoin the industry one day. Recently signing to Soul Artist Management—the agency behind male superstars like Tyson Beckford and Paolo 
Roldan—Gwin is eagerly awaiting New York Fashion Week: Men’s and hopefully, his big runway debut. 

 

 “I took a break for awhile, but now that I’m back in the industry there is so much that I want to do,” said Gwin. “February is right around the corner and I’m just starting to really follow fashion. I’m still learning about all the designers, stylists, photographers, so I’m excited for the shows to come around.”

 

When he isn’t gearing up for the catwalk, Gwin is busy making music; self-taught in guitar and drums, he regularly updates Instagram with renditions of everything from AC/DC to impromptu jam sessions. His passion for music has provided some entertaining online moments, but for Gwin it all comes down to creative expression. “I would love to do a song one day," Gwin muses. "One thing that is great about modeling is that it opens you up to so many opportunities.” 

 

Another is the fact that it gives him another avenue with which to connect with his dad. “He actually showed me how to walk and he gave me some pointers on how to act in front of the camera and facial expressions. I’ve learned so much from him," says Gwin. "He had a 15-year career, which is rare in modeling, so I’m hoping that I’ll get to have that kind of longevity.” You know what they say: Like father, like son.
