Who is Donald Trump Jr?

Donald Trump Jr is the eldest child of the President of the United States of America and his first wife Ivana.

The 38-year-old was born in New York and gained a degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania before going to work for his father’s businesses.

 

Donald Trump Jr is Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization.

He had an early introduction to the family business when at 13 he was paid minimum wage plus tips as a dock attendant at Trump castle.

In 2001, having gained his degree, he returned to the family business and cut his teeth with the development of Trump Place at West Side Yards, New York.

 

He now oversees new projects and development of the company’s real estate, hotels, golf courses and more.

He has led projects in Chicago, Las Vegas, Scotland and India.

On top of this he has appeared on many episodes of The Apprentice alongside his father.

 

His father is estimated by Bloomberg to be worth £3billion  – so we can assume he’s received a considerable pay rise since he was 13.

Donald Trump Jr was introduced to his wife, model Vanessa Haydon, by his father.
The pair married in 2005 and have five children.
He recently celebrated his 11th wedding anniversary watching UFC fights at Madison Square Garden.
He posted a picture of himself and Vanessa to Instagram with the message “11 years and 5 little monsters down and still going strong. Happy anniversary Vanessa, I love you. #anniversary”.
Donald Jr is known for his love of hunting.

 

What role will he have in Donald Trump's new government?

Donald Jr, as well as siblings Ivanka and Eric, will help to run their father's transition team as he prepares for goverment. 
He has also been named as a possible Interior Secretary in Donald Snr's administration.
Donald Jr played a prominent role in his father's campaign, even speaking at the Republican national convention in August.

 

Similarly to his father he often causes controversy.
Most recently, he drew widespread condemnation by tweeting a photo of a bowl of Skittles with the words: “If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you just three would kill you. Would you take a handful?” he wrote. “That’s our Syria refugee problem.”
Wrigley, which owns the Skittles brand, was obviously not eager to be used as a symbol of immigration control. “Skittles are candy. Refugees are people,” Wrigley responded.

Donald Jr has suggested he may run for Mayor of New York in 2017, he needs to get Mayor DiBlasio who is ruining the City of New York!
