Lady Gaga has be chosen to honor Bowie!

 

As she’s done so many times in the past, Lady Gaga has been chosen to honor David Bowie at this month’s Grammy Awards.  Gaga has an incredible talent for singing other artists’ songs.     She’s said to be honoring the late pop star with “an experiential tribute.”

 

The performance will be overseen by Chic’s Nile Rodgers, who produced Bowie’s hit album Let’s Dance in 1983. “The tribute will be a multisensory testament to the icon’s incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity,” said the Recording Academy in a statement.

 

Lady Gaga has previously credited David Bowie as an inspiration.  “He’s sort of like an alien prince,” she once told chat show host Alan Carr. “Every morning I wake up and I think, ‘What would Bowie do?'” “We had already booked Lady Gaga on this year’s show, but when David passed – almost in a single moment – we knew we had to change direction,” said Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the Grammys.

 

 “We immediately spoke and agreed that she should be the one to honor David. She’s perfect for it.”
Expect the performance to be a memorable one.  If it’s anything like this, Gaga will draw rave reviews and a standing ovation.
