B&B back to Australia!
‘B&B’ Heading Back To Australia For Another International Location Shoot
"The Bold and the Beautiful”
is once again headed outside of its CBS Television City based studio
for a trip overseas as part of an upcoming location shoot. This time the
world’s most watched soap is heading back to Australia for what looks
to be a 30th anniversary trip down memory lane.
“We are going to Australia that’s for sure. We are just not sure when,” a CBS representative said to the Australian Associated Press
(AAP), which first reported the news. “We will send a location scout
and write the story about the destination. We are looking for iconic,
interesting historic authentic locations.”
According to the news organization, producers are currently in talks with Australia’s Qantas Airlines on ways in which they can help bring the production overseas
for an unspecified duration of time that’ll likely take place as part of
the 30th anniversary celebration planned in 2017.
“It’s all about the story. It depends on the storyline,” producers stated in regards to how long the show is planning its stay.
In
addition to Australia, other potential locations being scouted by
producers include Budapest, Poland and Flemish Belgium. “But the only
one that’s sure is Australia. We don’t know when it will happen. It may
be 2017,” the producers noted.
Another turn in Australia doesn’t come as much of a surprise as that is where the show scooped up former "Neighbours" actress Ashleigh Brewer, who is currently enjoying a successful run as Ivy Forrester on the CBS Daytime soap. More recently, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) booked an appearance on the Australian soap, playing herself, in an episode that will air sometime in March.
In
recent years, “B&B” has filmed episodes in Abu Dhabi, Paris,
Amsterdam, Italy and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, among many others.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” celebrated its 20th anniversary with a location shoot in Australia in 2007.
