Is it time for a Dynasty comeback? Show star Emma Samms offers her verdict on the iconic 80s soap   

Joan Collins and Stephanie Beacham would look like to revive the Carringtons, but Emma Samms has other ideas.

  

Former Dynasty star Emma Samms has revealed that she is dead against the idea of a Dynasty revival, arguing that a revival would “cheapen” the show.

Dynasty was an international smash hit soap opera in the 1980s and Samms played Fallon Carrington Colby and was also one of the lead stars in spinoff series The Colbys.

Following the recent reunion of fellow 80s soap Dallas, rumours have constantly circulated that Dynasty might get remade.
Stephanie Beacham, who played Sable Colby, recently admitted that she often talked about bringing the show back with co-star Joan Collins.
“We both would, frankly because that was fun. We would love to,” said Beacham.

However, Samms believes that the show had become “quite dated” and said it should be left in the past.
