Thierry Mugler (1948)
The French designer epitomized 1980s sexy and
powerful style with his sculptural garments that reshaped and sublimated
women's bodies. Innovative in his forms as well as materials, playing
with vinyl, leather and metal, he also imagined extravagant shows
presented like true spectacles. He now practices other artistic
disciplines such as photography, costume design and production.
