"I hope one day I'll do a fragrance campaign for Dolce or Gucci. Those are my favorite designers..."
Hello Pawel, I'm flattered you accepted to be interviewed for my blog!, to start this interview off, please give some background information. Sure, no problem. I was born in Poland, Krakow in 1990. I have one brother Michal. He's seven years older than me. I always looked up to him as a kid. Currently he studies in Poland and I live only with my mom in New York. I study at Brooklyn College CUNY. It's my first year. I wanna major in business.

-Let's look back at how you started modeling, tell me about how you got discovered. My friends encouraged me to look into it so when I turned eighteen I made profile on models.com. As soon as my profile was listed I received a couple of messages from different bookers and John W Babin from Red was one of them. I figured Red was a good and respected agency so I met up with him like the next day and they gave me a contract for two years.

-What aspects of the modeling career attract you most?I like meeting new people which is a constant here. You can meet many very interesting and also influential people in this industry. Also, most of the shoots are really fun. It's not the hardest job out there... you know? lol
-What do your family and friends think of your choice to pursue a modeling career?
At first my mom wasn't very supportive but as soon as she saw my work she changed her opinion. My dad and my brother are very supportive and try to help me out as much as they can. They would give me hints and also encourage me. My friends just think modeling is just this really awesome job and they support me but I think their picture of modeling is far from reality. It's not as easy as it seems to be! =]

-What was your first assignment as a model? How did you feel like during it? My very first shoot was with Sean Watters. We went to Jones Beach in Long Island. It was really fun. I enjoyed that day a lot. Even though I was new to it I was very confident like "I got this". Sean is a cool dude.
-What are some of your professional goals as a model? What kind of campaigns would you like to do?I would love to do an underwear campaign for Calvin or Armani. They are great. Also, I hope one day I'll do a fragrance campaign for Dolce or Gucci. Those are my favorite designers.
-What are some characteristics of your personality? Which adjectives would you use to describe yourself? I rather tell you adjectives with which others described me before. What I hear the most is needy, annoying, jerk.... okay I'm just kidding =P more like really confident, friendly, funny, outgoing and very VERY flirtatious. I'm just trying to live a stress-less life and enjoy it as much as it's possible. Therefore I'm not shy at all and do all sorts of crazy things =]
-What is your favorite sport? How often do you play it?
My favorite sports are soccer and basketball but I play all sports that are out there besides baseball. I play them whenever I can. Most of the time it's mostly on weekends due to all responsibilities I have like school. I used to play in high school teams and clubs in New York. I also run a lot on daily basis. It's a good general work out.
-Do you like to travel? Where did you spend your last summer holiday?I love traveling! Staying in one place gets boring after a while. I was working the whole summer but before that I went to Orlando for my senior trip in High school for the grad bash. It was probably my best high school experience. We went to all the parks and had more fun then ever before. -Thanks again for taking the time to reply to my questions, good luck for your future challenges! Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. |
