World Premiere Interview: Laurin Krausz

  Laurin Krausz is a rising star of the fashion industry. He started modeling two years ago but as he told us he really started when he finished high-school. He was scouted by Zineta Blank (Visage Management GmbH, Zurich) and his first photo shoot was by Sandro Baebler. In Italy he is represented by Independent Men, Milan.  Following here my interview with him.

Hello  Laurin, I'm really flattered you accepted to be interviewed for my blog!, just to start this interview off please give me some background information  I was born and raised in Felsberg, small town in Switzerlands part called Graubünden (Grigione). I lived there with my parents and my 4 brothers and sisters. End of July I graduated my school and have now my Matura, like the key to go to mostly every university I want to go.

-How and when did you start your modeling career? How old were you?     I was scouted by my motheragencys boss Zineta Blank, which found me while I was working in a little clothes shop to earn some extra money, beside my pocket money then I was seventeen, and now eighteen, but actually I'm really starting now, before I had to finish my school.

-Do you remember your first photo shoot? Who was the photographer?                          Of course I do, it was in Zurich with the sympathetic and really good photographer Sandro Baebler, I think one of my best picture is still from this time.
-And which fashion designer was your first fashion show for?                             My first show was for Calvin Klein exclusive in Milan.

-Which do you prefer doing: runway shows, editorials, catalog jobs? Why?
Actually I haven't decided yet, I haven't done a lot of all right now. I like the shows, but the castings during fashion week suck,  little bit.

-Your favorite female model? I don't really care about female models, but of course I like girls like Irina Shayk, but not really as a inspiration, more for my eyes ;)
-What is your favorite sport and how often do you play it?I used to play floorbal, like hockey but in a hall with  a hardgum floor. But I didn't have enough time to play it like I did. Now I'm often playing basketball with friends or do exercises by myself.

-What is your favorite holiday destination? 
I love California and Bali. Completely different but lovely. I usually went to Italy, Toscana, with my family, I love that atmosphere and the Italian temperament there.
What kind of music do you like? Current favorite song? I love any kind of rock music like The Fray or Mumford and Sons. Right now my must played songs on my iPod are 'Guaranteed' by Eddie Vedder and 'The Story I Heard' by Blind Pilot.
