The fashion world of the 90s saw supermodels like Naomi Campbell ruling the ramp.





These famous faces, which graced the cover of every glossy magazine back then, set the standard of beauty for generations and running.

Who was more fun than the Trinity? Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington shot to fame in the ’90s, and, with the help of photographers like Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh and Arthur Elgort, quickly became the faces of fashion.

 Along with their million dollar paycheques, they earned a rep for glamorous debauchery—Linda and Christy were snapped frolicking on a swing in a New York nightclub; Naomi dated controversial stars like Robert DeNiro and Mike Tyson.

Eventually their superstardom eclipsed what they were selling (“We don’t vogue, we are Vogue,” Evangelista told a reporter), and a new era of models marched in. The Trinity, along with their peers—Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer—still mattered, but they were no longer the only game in town.

But lately the original supers have been making a comeback. The latest example? Christy Turlington stars (with Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova) in Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2010 ad campaign. That inspired us to create the following photo gallery of our top supermodel pics.
