Justin Bieber poses for Calvin Klein— But he’s NO Marky Mark!!

     If Justin Bieber’s new black and white Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott looks familiar, that’s because it’s been done before. Most recently by Nick Jonas for a Flaunt Magazine.

But decades ago, two years before Justin Bieber was even born, another teen idol made waves for the fashion house by striking a very similar pose.     

       

• Back in 1992 there was absolutely no one hotter than Marky Mark. His older brother, Donnie Wahlberg, may have been in New Kids on the Block,

• the most popular band at the time, but after catching a glimpse of Mark’s abs in his “Good Vibrations” music video every other male celebrity paled in comparison. Then came the memorable black and white ads, some co-starring Kate Moss, shot by legendary photographer Herb Ritts.

• Girls tore it out of magazines and proudly taped them up in their lockers. Some may have made shrines. The images remain some of the most iconic fashion ads ever, but let’s be honest: no one was looking at Wahlberg’s white boxer briefs—they were looking at his bod.
  Which brings us back to the Biebs. He admittedly looks pretty good, and the next generation of teens may be swooning. But Wahlberg, who you now know as a 43-year-old actor, did it first, and he did it better.

For months he has been showing off his sculpted torso.

And on Tuesday it was revealed that Justin Bieber is now getting paid for those toned abs as he's been named the star of the new Calvin Klein campaign.

The 20-year-old hit maker, who appears shirtless in the adverts, put his briefs on display as he posed with 31-year-old Dutch model Lara Stone.

The black-and-white six second promotion was shared on Calvin Klein's Twitter account on Tuesday, and was appropriately captioned, 'Drum roll… #mycalvins'.

First, the promo saw Justin seated at a drum set, where he showed off his rapid drumming.

After a moment or two at the set, the Believe star finished off the steamy commercial by pulling in Lara for what appeared to be a kiss.

The brand tweeted out a video teaser on Tuesday of a shadowed drummer before officially announcing Bieber as the campaign star, followed by Bieber himself tweeting out the good news.Justin Bieber is starting 2015 with a new gig: He's the new face (and abs) of Calvin Klein.

The pop star is featured in the brand's Spring 2015 ad campaign, alongside model Lara Stone.

"Officially a part of the legacy. Check out @calvinklein for more. #mycalvins. #newfaceofcalvinklein," Bieber  , wrote on his Instagram where he posted a few photos from the shoot.

Beliebers rejoice: After what feels like an eternity of seeing Justin Bieber show off his undergarments on Instagram, the Canadian-born pop star officially scored a paid gig doing so, as he's been named the face of the My Calvins campaign.

 

Maybe the 20-year-old was campaigning for the job when he stripped down to only his black-and-red Calvin Klein boxers while presenting with ad co-star Lara Stone during the  Fashion Rocks Concert in September (though the stunt was met with a slew of boos from the audience).

 Whatever the case may be, it looks like the stunt worked out in his favor.

In one ad, Bieber broods while showing off his six-pack and tattoos in only boxers, while in another, he wears denim pants sans shirt with Stone draped across his back.
