Updates: Galliano returning to Couture!

John Galliano has been appointed the new head of Maison Martin Margiela, an announcement made Tuesday that the fashion press ate up like petits fours from the tips their delicate and painstakingly manicured fingers. Even  Kayne West tweeted . 

Margiela, one of the most revered Paris fashion houses, has been without its namesake since 2009, and Galliano is one of fashion's most beloved designers, wildly creative but cast in limbo for three years, because he is a racist asshole.

In 2011, Galliano was convicted and fined in a Paris court for making horrific anti-Semitic statements, a violation of French law. He told a group of people seated next to him in a cafe that he "loves Hitler," and that "people like you will be dead today… your mothers and fathers… would be fucking gassed." The tirade was captured on video. A week before that, during an arguements witha French couple at the same cafe, he made racist statements as well—"dirty Jewish face," "fucking Asian bastard"—for which he was initially arrested. Dior subsequently fired him as its creative director owing to his "odious statement… which totally contradicts the values which have always been defended by Christian Dior," said Chief Executive Sidney Toledano. 

Natalie Portman, a Dior spokesperson and herself Jewish, refused to be associated with him. Galliano protested that he was drunk, and said that he was sorry...

John Galliano to Return to Couture with Maison Martin Margiela

Embattled designer impresario John Galliano will restart his fashion career as creative director of Maison Martin Margiela and is expected to show his first designs for the house in January during Paris Couture Week. The collection will be the first under Galliano's creative control since he was unceremoniously dismissed by Dior in March 2011.

"Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul," Renzo Rosso, president of OTB, which controls Margiela, said today. "John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time - a unique, exceptional couturier for a maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion. I look forward to his return to create that fashion dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home."

The youngest band member, Nick, entertained his gay fans with solo track Jealous on the club's Gay College night before flashing his refined abs and flexing his muscles while standing on a podium.

Sandwiched between nearly-naked men with dollar bills wedged in their Y-fronts, Nick ripped open his white shirt, after shedding his suit jacket.

Looking noticeably transformed from his awkward teen years, the singer boasted a gym-honed physique, which he proudly unveiled inside the Manhattan venue.

This year, Nick has trained in mixed martial arts for the role of a cagefighter in TV series Kingdom and had the body to boast for all of his hard work.  

And, while he danced provocatively for the crowd and treated them to the 'Gun Show', he left his trousers on and his shirt around his shoulders encouraging the crowd to use their imaginations for the rest.

  Nick Jonas is all grown up and ditches the squeaky clean look.

Nick had been making a special appearance to promote his latest single and performed inside the club before being encouraged to strip for the crowd.

The 21-year-old singer, who split with brothers Joe and Kevin to allow them to pursue solo efforts, is currently dating Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and openly admits the song entitled Jealous is about her.

He told  MTV NEWS. 'I’m with my girl and [some other guys are] looking at her and I was like, I’ve just been training for three months how to be a real fighter for a TV show and I could hurt you now.

'It was a moment when I was like, I’ve got to write about that because the fact that I got so passionate about it so quickly means that there is a song there.'  

With his album due out in November, Nick has also teamed up with his brother's ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato to work on two new tracks. 

The singer has impressed with his latest solo track and expects to start his first tour at the end of September since separating with his bandmates in October 2013.

Nick's day was spent conducting his promotional trail with more decorum when he performed at New York Fashion Week's Fashion Rocks concert.

He looked slick in a long burgundy jacket, with a silver pocket square and shiny shoes as he arrived on the red carpet for the guest list only style event, which combined music with fashion.

Nick posed for some photos with his pants down and his hands pulling on his bulge.

A lot of people aren’t really loving this look on Nick because it reminds them of Marky Mark’s very similar photos spread in the early 90s.
The difference? About 20 years and some body hair.
Marky Mark was clean shaven and chiseled while Nick has some incredibly sexy body hair and a beefier build.

Either way, we’re not complaining about anything here because the photos are a total panty dropper.

Is Galliano really coming back to the Fashion World?!

 

John Galliano couldn’t come to terms with Oscar de la Renta on a position at the New York–based house, but apparently “John is Back!” according to L’Etoile perfumery’s website, says  WWD.

Galliano is said to be joining the Russia–based company as creative director of its private-label cosmetics line. 

While this is a far cry from his time at DIOR we are glad to see the designer being welcomed back into the fashion and beauty industries. Hopefully, this is permanent.

Update (9:10 A.M.): It appears John Galliano will not be creative director for Russian beauty brand L’Etoile, but rather has been serving as a consultant for the last few months, according to NY spokeperson Liz Rosenberg.  Details of Galliano’s projects are expected to be released in the next few days. Until then, stay tuned.
