Bold & the Beautiful to win its 10th for International TV Awards!

BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL has received its eighth consecutive nomination for the Monte Carlo Television Festival’s International TV Audience Awards in the “Telenovela/ Soap Opera” category. Winning this award for the last seven years, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL remains the most watched series in the world, in its genre.

The 9th Annual TV Audience Awards category honors the programs that garnered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2012 across five continents. The nominees were pre-selected among the 15 best-performing foreign fiction programs in 65 countries. B&B is nominated along with Telemundo's LA CASA DE AL LADO and Univision's EVA LUNA.

 

The Monte Carlo Television Festival (www.tvfestival.com) is hosted under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, and includes press events, a jury competition and awards, premiere screenings, glamorous receptions and parties hosted by the major networks and studios.

These novellas, the first of series based on the TV soap The Bold and the Beautiful, will either excite its 35 million global viewers (a Guinness World Records fact) or make them weep, depending on their literary acumen. Pan Macmillan’s idea of transporting TV to print and a digital first with Momentum is a sound one. If a million readers respond, the publishers will be ecstatic.

The nominees were pre-selected among the 15 best-performing foreign fiction programs in 66 countries. The winners will be revealed at the 54th Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 11th, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, and Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell will be in attendance.

The International TV Audience Awards are determined by the sum of ratings across five continents and 65 countries as measured by Médiamétrie and Eurodata TV Worldwide. The win signifies that THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL delivered higher ratings worldwide in 2012 than any other telenovela or daily drama.

In 2011, B&B received its third consecutive Emmy® award for “Outstanding Daytime Drama Series”.  In 2012, Guinness World Records® named B&B the Most Popular Daytime Soap Currently on TV.
